Relationship, Sex and Health Education (RSHE)

Intent

Our pupils will form positive beliefs, values and attitudes. They will be prepared for the rich, diverse lives they will experience. They will be empowered and prepared to be excellent citizens in our 21st-century world as they will have the knowledge they need to be tolerant and respectful, and know how to seek appropriate support and safeguard themselves from any difficulties they may face.

The most important thing an institution does is not to prepare a student for a career, but for life as a citizen.

 Implementation

We follow the Jigsaw scheme of work to deliver a robust RSHE curriculum. Through the use of Jigsaw, we deliver a whole-school approach to RSHE which includes mindfulness to allow children to advance their emotional awareness, concentration and focus. The programme is delivered in a spiral, progressive series of lessons which gives the children relevant learning experiences to help them navigate their world and develop positive relationships with themselves and others.
